Every second of life is a tradeoff, not just the big decision moments. Each choice collapses a cloud of possible futures into one. But that loss is counterbalanced: a new cloud of infinite futures blossoms from every new present. No single tradeoff defines you; redemption is structurally built into time.

Every "yes" you say to something is a silent "no" to something else.
The moment you make a choice... you grab one thread. And the instant you do, all the other threads fall away.
You can always redeem what you lost. You can always rebuild what you broke. Because the possibilities never stop coming.

- Every second involves a decision (even passivity is a choice).
- Each decision collapses alternatives — opportunity cost is pervasive.
- But: new alternatives regenerate continuously.
- Therefore: no irrecoverable failure at the local level; agency is continuous.
Relationship to other positions
- With purpose-is-constructed: purpose is built through the thread-grabbing. The act is the how.
- With letting-go-is-central: every thread not grabbed must be let go of.
- With switch-perspectives: companion skills at the moment-to-moment level — choosing which thread and choosing which lens are both continuous decisions.
